Description
Join us in a 1 mile FUN jog or walk WITH YOUR DOG to help raise funds for the training of Autism Service Dogs! Henry is a very special 4 year old little boy that was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder at the age of 2. Henry is non-verbal and has a vast array of cognitive and sensory issues. Hope is a Goldendoodle puppy with a big job ahead. Over the course of the next year and a half Hope will receive very special "Autism Service Dog" training by the staff at Starlite Academy in Bennett, IA. Hope will learn life saving skills as Henry is unable to recognize danger. She will also learn how to calm Henry and how to help him with everyday life skills like simply getting dressed. The cost to train an Autism Service Dog is over $10,000 and none of that cost is covered by insurance. Please help us help Henry and other children with Autism that would greatly benefit from the service and support of an Autism Service Dog.
