Brief Description

About This Event:
This is De Chantal's 5K run. The race's course will be in the neighborhoods behind De Chantal. All proceeds are going towards tuition assistance and the Home and School Association. There will be a post race party on the school's grounds that will include food, drink, inflatables, and music.

Packet Pick Up

Packet pick up will take place at Caddies. The first packet pick up will be on Thursday, April 18th at Caddies in Bethesda, MD from 4:30pm to 9:00 pm . Caddies is located at 4922 Cordell Avenue Bethesda, MD 20814. Feel free to stop by to pick up your race number and swag bag, load up on burgers, tenders, and $2 non-premium draft beer and $4 premium draft beers and rail drinks. All appetizers will be half price from 4:00pm to 10:00pm.

The second packet pick up will be on Friday, April 19th from 7:30am to 1:00 pm in Caufield Hall at St. Jane de Chantal School . The school is located at 9525 Old Georgetown Road Bethesda, MD. Registration closes on Friday, April 12th, so there will be no additional registrations available at packet pick up.

Family Registration

The Family Registration option is $100 and allows registration for all immediate family members and includes 4 T-Shirts.

1 Mile Fun Run: 8:15 am
5k: 8:30 am

T-Shirts

All registered runners will receive a short-sleeved T-shirt if registered by March 31, 2013. All registrants past the deadline will receive a t-shirt on a first come, first served basis.

ChronoTrack Timing and Scoring

Transponder timing operated by Amazing Race Timing will be used to score the 5K race. The system uses the Chronotrack B-Tag which must be attached to the front or back of each runners bib and records the exact time a runner crosses the starting line and the finish line, resulting in a net time for each runner. The B-Tag is disposable. Overall awards will be based upon clock time and age group awards will be based upon transponder times.
