Brief Description

The 13th Annual Amedisys Mardi Gras Mambo 10k and 1 Mile Run will take place on February 5, 2011.

This year's Mambo features a beautiful new route through the picturesque campus of Louisiana State University, around the LSU Lakes and past City Park! The race staging area will be outside of the LSU Natatorium; both runs will begin on West Chimes St.

Great Prizes!

Cash Prizes and custom ceramic Mardi Gras Masks will be awarded to 1st ($250), 2nd ($150) and 3rd ($100) place overall 10k Male & Female winners.

Age Group Winners receive Brooks Podium Backpacks, 2nd place age group winners receive $25 Whole Foods Gift Cards

Masters and Grandmasters, Male and Female winners receive $50 gift cards from Fleet Feet Sports

1st Place Male and Female 1 Mile Fun Run receive $25 Whole Foods Gift Cards

Food and Drink

Jambalaya from The Jambalaya Shoppe, Beer from Mockler Beverage Company, Coke products from Baton Rouge Coca Cola, Smoothie King Smoothies, Fruit from Whole Foods Market, and Boneless Wings from Buffalo Wild Wings.

Additional Information

All participants receive a commemorative Amedisys Mardi Gras Mambo medallion bead, long sleeve t-shirt, food, and drink with their registration. The Mardi Gras Mambo 10k is a CHIP TIMED race; chip pickup will be available on race day ONLY.

The Mardi Gras Mambo 10k is a qualifier for the Crescent City Classic and the Senior Olympic Games.

Early packet pickup will be on Thursday, Feb. 3 and Friday, Feb. 4, 10AM-7PM at Fleet Feet Sports, located at 6251 Perkins Road, Baton Rouge.

Free parking will be available off of Nicholson Dr. near Maddox Fieldhouse, Bernie Moore Track Stadium, and the west side of Tiger Stadium.
