The fifth running of this race will be held on New Year's Day - starting a new tradition in Baltimore. The entire family can begin the New Year by participating in the 5K Run or 1 Mile Walk on a course entirely in beautiful Patterson Park with pre and post-race activities at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church Hall across Baltimore Street from the start/finish line. Walkers are particularly encouraged to join runners in an afternoon of exercise and fun - a great way to start 2009. Proceeds support Earl's Place, a transitional housing program, providing safe, secure supportive housing to homeless men and will assist these men as they work to reclaim their lives from hopelessness.

Entry Fees:
$25 registration by 12/22/08
$30 after 12/22/08 and race day
$10 for ages 12 and under

Amenities:
Long Sleeve Shirt for all pre-registered participants. (Register early, shirt sizes and availability are not guaranteed on the afternoon of the race.

Warm and Hearty Lunch of chili and cornbread will be served during the post-race celebration

Awards for the top thre male/female overall finishers and the top three male/femaile finishers in the following age categories: 15 and under, 16-19, 20-19, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 and 60 and over.

Random Prizes will be given at the Awards Ceremony

Directions:
From downtown Baltimore go east on Pratt Street until it ends at Patterson Park Avenue. Turn left. At the second light turn right onto Baltimore Street. St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church is on the left at the corner of Baltimore Street and Lakewood Avenue (8 blocks east of Patterson Park Avenue). Street parking is available.
