Pricing / Budget Information

This event attempts to provide a quality race and post-race party for about $15 per runner. The fixed pricing goes to insurance, permits, police, and Parks&Rec Maintenance to salt and clear roads. The variable aspects go to food, drink, awards, tents, spot-a-pots, chiptiming, etc. Donations are made to Parks&People. Premiums are sold for acquisition costs (volunteers get one too!) Prices for timing and permits keep going up year after year and we continue to try and hold the line.

Women's Breakawy Longsleeve Brooks Premium

This luxurious brushed polyester works perfectly with ten mile runs, workouts at the gym, or daily treks through town. We selected this as a complement to the 2008 mid-layer 1/2 zip and the 2007 outer layer jacket. You can wear this on its own on cool days, or as a base-layer on really cold days. Suggested retail is $52

Men's Podium Longsleeve

This high-quality pullover with moisture wicking fabric and flat-seam construction is one of the most popular Brooks offerings for a cold-weather baselayer running shirt. Lightweight and breathable, it functions as a stand alone running shirt in moderate weather as well.

Sizing Issues - Men's and Women's Sizes

This year we are back to men' sizes and women's sizes. If are are female and order a female medium, you will be issued a female medium, not a male medium. If you are female and order a male medium instead of a female large, you will receive a male medium. Shirts run true to size and will be on hand to try on before the event.

Out-of-town Premium Pickup

Out of town premium pickup is over. Participants may pick up their premium and bib at Falls Road Running Store Tuesday Dec. 15th through Friday Dec. 18th at 5PM. You may also pick up your premium and bib number on race day at the race site. Timing chips are picked up on race day only...and returned after you cross the finish line.

Christmas Tree Decorations

Per a special arrangement, we plan to have a limited number of Christmas Tree balls with this year's Celtic Solstice logo available for sale at packet pickup or on race day.

A number of runners have inquired as to the availability of kilts for the event. Falls Road Running will have authentic kilts during packet pick-up week. You may buy a kilt for $30 or rent one for $20 with a $40 deposit and $20 refunded upon return.
