Brief Description

The Azusa Scavenger Hunt Fun Run will be 3-5 miles of your team of 2 thinking on your feet and using your brains to solve clues to find several destinations and picture your team at that location. This race is custom built on the history and landmarks of Azusa! Proceeds go to benefit Gladstone High School’s Academic Decathlon Team.

AWARDS

Everyone gets a custom event shirt and a sponsor provided swag bag. (Lots of cool goodies!) Medals to 1st, 2nd & 3rd place finishers from BOTH divisions. CASH & prizes for 1st, 2nd & 3rd places!!

About Academic Decathlon

A Synapse-Snapping Competition for High School Students of All Academic Backgrounds. Decathletes are challenged to use analytical skills, performance abilities, test-taking and writing aptitude in 10 events: Art, Economics, Essay, Interview, English, Math, Music, Science, History & Speech. Goal: win gold medals!!

Parking

Please park in the public lot on the South East corner of Azusa Ave and Foothill Blvd for the duration of the race.

Directions

As you head north from the 210 Freeway on Azusa Ave, be in the right hand lane as you approach Foothill Blvd. Turn in before you get to Foothill. Max's Mexican Cuisine is directly across the street!

Additional Information

Info: Whether you choose to run or walk you will never be standing around waiting. You'll learn some history of Azusa you probably didn't know, and have a blast doing it! Participants will run to as many destinations as they want/can. Anyone can walk, jog or run and complete the course in a couple hours. Host location is TBA and will be announced soon via email. Check in/packet pick up starts at 11:30 AM and race will start promptly at 12:00 PM. BRING a camera, ID and a pen or pencil. A SMART PHONE is HIGHLY recommended!!
