Brief Description

Come out for the 3rd Annual Run! Forest Run! 10K/5K race and Kids’ 200m Fun Run This professionally-timed event is open to participants of all levels, from walkers to elite runners. Join the other anticipated 200+ participants through Oakhurst Forest Preserve to experience the scenic shady woodlands and open meadows on mixed-surfaced trails of asphalt, gravel, and grass.

REGISTRATION OPEN

- In-person at St. Athanasios Greek Orthodox Church, 1805 E. Fifth Ave, Aurora, IL, Monday - Friday between 10:00am and 2:00pm
- Race day at St. Athanasios between 6:30am and 8:00am**

PACKET PICK-UP

- Thursday, October 22 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm at Dick Pond’s Athletics, 2775 Maple Ave, Lisle, IL
- Race day, October 24, from 6:30am to 8:00am at St. Athanasios Greek Orthodox Church**

**NOTE: Event t-shirts are not guaranteed for race day registrations.

EVENT SIGN-IN AND PARKING

Sign in will be from 6:30am until 8:00am at St. Athanasios Greek Orthodox Church, 1805 E. Fifth Ave, Aurora, IL. St. Athanasios is located directly across the street from the entrance to the Forest Preserve.

Sign-in will close promptly at 8:00am to allow time for participants to walk across the street to the starting area in the Forest Preserve.

Additional Information

This professionally-time event will offer on-course water stations and entertainment, and a post-race party, all while benefiting local charities. A guaranteed morning of fun and fitness for all!

After the race, participants are encouraged to stick around for post-race refreshments, show off their medals, look through their goodie bags, wear their event t-shirt, and enjoy the musical entertainment. A majority of the proceeds from this event will go to local charities such as The Philoxenia House, The Hesed House, The Wheaton Family Shelter, The Kane County Sheriff Department, and St. Athanasios Orthodox Church; organizations focused on helping those in need in local communities.
