Brief Description

Merrick’s Walk & 5K Fun Run is in memory of Galloway Alum Merrick Ryan, a 19-year old who died from complications due to anorexia. All ages and fitness levels are welcome. All proceeds benefit EDIN (Eating Disorders Information Network), a non-profit organization committed to preventing and raising awareness about all types of disordered eating (from obesity to anorexia) and the promotion of positive body-esteem through education, outreach and action.

Day of

Registration begins at 12:00 p.m.

Walk/Run begins at 1:00 p.m.

Fees

Adults - $25 for Run or Walk / Day of: $30
Children - $15 for Run or Walk / Day of: $20
Phantom Walker/Runner: $25

Proceeds

Proceeds benefit EDIN’s eating disorder prevention and wellness programs for students from K-12, teachers, parents, eating disorders sufferers and their loved ones.

Teams - 5 or More Walkers/Runners

Create a team with your classmates, neighbors, co-workers, friends, support groups or family members. Teams build camaraderie by gathering a group of five or more to support this great cause. There is strength in numbers!

Team Captains

Team captains create a team name by clicking "Register Now" where you will be asked to name your team. Next, return to this registration page and select "Register Now" this step will now have you register as an individual/participant of your team. You will select your Team Name from the drop down box on the registration form. It is very important to register as an individual/participant within the team that you just created. Creating a team does not register you for this event.

Team Members

Select "Register Now" and pick the Team category that pertains to you. Then select your Team Name from the drop down box on the registration form. Continue through the registration process.

Additional Information

Walk (2.7 miles) or Run (5k) -- Start and end at the Galloway School and around the PATH at Chastain Park.
Phantom Walkers/Runners stay at home but register and proceeds will benefit EDIN.
