Brief Description

The Chomp and Stomp is kicked off by one of the most popular races in the city of Atlanta! This is our 6th year and we've grown by leaps and bounds each year. The fast, flat course is great for first timers or PR's, and this year. Awesome, LONG SLEEVED tee to all participants. Free chili to all race participants at the Chomp and Stomp Chili and bluegrass festival later that day--$5 VALUE and no waiting in line.

Charity

The proceeds from the Romp and Stomp 5k benefit Cabbagetown Initiative CDC which is the non-profit organization responsible for the upkeep of our Community Center and two beautiful parks. Families from all over Intown Atlanta enjoy the fun, clean and safe environment these parks provide.

Directions/Parking

Parking is a challenge, so come early. Park at lots on Memorial or in Agave lot at corner of Boulevard and Memorial Dr. on the south side of Cabbagetown. From I-20 take the Boulevard/Zoo Atlanta exit. North on Boulevard to Agave lot. From I-85 take Freedom Parkway exit. Right (south) on Boulevard to Agave parking Lot.

Awards

We will have overall men's and women's first place and three deep in each age group M/F (14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60 & over) for runners. 1st place M/F for walking division and stroller division.

Cabbagetown Run Club

Preview the streets of Cabbagetown by meeting up with the Cabbagetown Run Club every Thursday evening at 7pm. Milltown Tavern 180 Carroll Street.

Packet Pickup

IMPORTANT: If you sign up on Active after 5 p.m. Wednesday, you will not be able to pick up your bag until the day of the race. All Others avoid the rush and pick up your number, timing chip and t-shirt Thursday or Friday, Nov. 3-4 from 5-8 pm at the Cabbagetown Community Center. Registration will still also be available (unless cap of 1000 is already reached).

Awards include gift certificates to local restaurants and businesses as well as hand-crafted Cabbagetown Artwork!

There is NO race day registration. This race sold out last year and we expect it to sell out in 2011. Fees for the race are $30 but sign up by Oct. 1 for a $25 early bird special.
