Run Day Information

Number pick-up is from 7 - 8:15 a.m. on Saturday, May 22. The assembly areas for the fun run will be organized by age groups. Parents are required to provide adult supervision of their child to and from the assembly area. Adults may not run with the children participating in AJC Peachtree Jr.; however, they may run with their children that are doing the Lil' Peach Dash.

To Get There

No parking is available at Piedmont Park, and there is limited parking available around the park, so you may want to consider taking MARTA. Take MARTA to the Arts Center Station. Walk east on 14th Street to Piedmont Park.

Awards

Since this is a fun run the event will not be officially timed, and no awards will be given out. All AJC Peachtree Jr. finishers will receive a T-shirt and commemorative race pennant. Lil' Peach Dash finishers will receive a T-shirt and ribbon.

AJC Peachtree Jr. T-shirt Contest

Remember to submit your entry for the AJC Peachtree Jr. T-shirt design contest. The contest is open to children between the ages of 7 and 12 (as of May 22, 2010). The winning design will be used on the AJC Peachtree Jr. T-shirts. Design entries should be postmarked May 2, 2010. For more information on the T-shirt design contest, visit www.atlantatrackclub.org/peachtreejunior.

Additional Information

A family favorite for more than 20 years, the AJC Peachtree Jr. is designed to offer children age 7-12 experience, excitement and prestige of the AJC Peachtree Road Race under safe, supervised conditions and without pressures of competition. The course is completely inside the boundaries of Piedmont Park, and friendly course monitors are stationed all around the course to offer guidance and encouragement. Peachtree Junior is strictly for fun: there are no time limits, results, or awards, and children are grouped by age. By limiting the field to 2,500 entrants, we hope to increase the enjoyment for kids and their parents.

New for 2010, the Lil' Peach 50 Meter Dash has been added for children six and under and their parents. The Lil' Peach Dash is limted to the first 100 entrants.
