Brief Description

Mark the 10th Anniversary of the tragic 9/11 attack on the World Trade Center, Washington, DC and the freedom we enjoy in America by joining us at the Ryan P. Means' American Legion Hall. Run / Walk a 5K around Chastain Park in celebration of Ryan Means' dedication to our country.

The Event

Join us for the 1st Annual 9-11 Victory Run around Chastain Park. This will be a day to salute our veterans ans soldiers, honor the lives of those lost on September 11, 2001 and celebrate the freedom we enjoy as Americans. The 5K Run/Walk starts and ends at the Ryan Means Legion Hut on the South end of Chastain Park, off Powers Ferry Road. All proceeds will benefit American Legion Post 140.

Race Parking

We're recommending that runners and walkers perk on the north end of the park in the vicinity of the Chastain amphitheatre, swinning pool, tennis center and Galloway School and then walk to the Ryan Means Legion Hall. Please DO NOT park in the residential areas along Powers Ferry Road.

Race Day Registration

Participants may register for the 5K run/walk at the Ryan P. Means' American Legion Hall on Sunday, 9/11 beginning at noon. Race day registration fee is $30, payable via cash or check.

Race # Pick-up

If you registered in advance via online, you can pick-up your race number at the Ryan P. Means' Legion Hut on Sunday, 9/11 beginning at noon. There is NO early race number pick-up.
