Brief Description

The 11th Annual Junk Yard Jog 7.5K, Rubbage Ride, and Pump Track are scheduled for November 10th! Holding with KACCB's philosophy that keeping clean and making Athens beautiful should be fun and make you feel great, we are holding a fun shindig at the ACC Landfill. Join us for a beautiful cross county run, walk, or ride. Then take your bike for a spin on the pump track and enjoy other fun and dirty activities for kids, adults, and families.

Registration/Entry Fees: Fun Run or 7.5 K $15.00 before Nov. 2, $20 thereafter. Bike Trail/Pump Track $10 before Nov. 2, $15 thereafter. All pre-registered participants will receive an event T-shirt. Family rate of 4 for $45. Register at www.active.com. Awards: The coveted KACCB handmade pottery mug awarded to overall male/female masters and grand masters. Top three in standard five age groups will receive unique awards. Information: Keep Athens-Clarke County Beautiful (706) 613-3501 x312 Directions: The Athens-Clarke County Landfill is located at 5700 Lexington Road. Take Lexington Rd. east toward Oglethorpe County. Turn left toward the buzzards (or the ACC Landfill sign). Course: A challenging and beautiful cross-country race around the Athens-Clarke County Landfill. The 1 Mile Fun Run, Rubbage Ride, Pump Track, and the Junk Yard Jog 7.5K are located within ACC Landfill property. Proceeds: All proceeds go to Keep Athens-Clarke County Beautiful to support community improvement projects and environmental education resources.
