The Cellcom Green Bay Marathon is celebrating its 12th and has been growing by leaps and bounds; the word has really gotten around and it is now an established mid western classic. Yes, the race has grown over the years, especially after a listing in Runner's World as one of the 10 'most enjoyable' marathons in the country. This year they are expecting around 14,000 guests, which is still small by big-city marathon standards, with 8,000 runners in the distance events (6,500 in the 1/2 and 3,500 in the full marathon) and the remainder in the 5K and kids' runs.

"The race was well organized. There were lots of volunteers and plentiful aid stations. ? We loved the pasta party included in the fee and the fact that the stands were opened for the event. Good finish area. ? We also enjoyed the post race brats and other food."
