Open, Law Enforcement, Fire Fighter, Military

Teams

Open- Open to all. Top three finishers score, top three teams receive award. Law Enforcement- Active, retired federal, state, local officer orprosecutor. Top three finishers score, top three teams receive award. Fire Fighter- Paid, volunteer, or retired. Top three finishers score, top three teams receive award. Military- Active or retired reservists, guardsmen from same branch of service.Top three finishers score, top three teams receive award.

Awards - Individual

Open: 1st and 2nd overall male and female; 1st and 2nd male and female age categories 0-13, 14-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+. Law Enforcement: 1st seven males and 1st seven females. Fire Fighter: 1st seven males and 1st seven females. Military: 1st seven males and 1st seven females.

Directions

South on I-395 from DC: Take Route 1 exit when entering VA. From Rt 1, take 15th Street exit and turn right at light. At next light right on Eads St and Army Navy Drive. North on 1-395 from Virginia: Take Crystal City exit, turn left onto Army Navy Drive. Metro Access: Crystal City or Pentagon City on blue or yellow line.

Beneficiaries

Proceeds will be donated to 9-11 related charities such as the Wounded Warrior Project and Homes for our Troops. All charities focus on the healing of military personnel and civilians directly affected by the war on terrorism and the attacks against USA on September 11, 2001.

Additional Information

Race is limited to first 5000. Register early. Course is flat and includes parts of the Pentagon. All registered runners receive long sleeved t-shirt. Post race ceremony with awards, food, beverages and entertainment at the Double Tree Hotel. Bag drop will be available on race day. Crystal City Double Tree Hotel offering $97 room rate under group code AFR. NO REFUNDS.
