(Registration for all races MAY be available “in person”, IF available, during the "Running for the bay!" EXPO on Saturday, October 20, 2012. EXPO located in Battery Park in Downtown Apalachicola, Florida)

Walk

Walking entrants should simply sign up for the distance they want to walk. 10K walkers sign up for the 10K race. Marathon walkers sign up for the Marathon race. You simply “walk” the race vs. “run” the race. There is no separate Walking course.

After on-line registration has closed, registration MAY be possible, in person IF slots are available, during the “Running for the bay!” Race EXPO.

Refund Policy

No refund of race fee, registration fee and/or other race associated fees for any reason!

Age Limits

“Running for the bay!” has no age requirements for any of its races. It is up to each individual entrant (or the entrant’s guardian) to decide if the race entrant is both physically and mentally competent to compete in any of the “Running for the bay!” races and/or events. We strongly recommend that each race entrant (or the entrant’s guardian) seek the advice of a physician to ensure the race entrant is both physically and mentally fit to compete in the race/s.

Danger on course and associated areas!

It is up to each participant of the "Running for the bay!" Marathon event/s to seek shelter in case of lightning and other forms of danger! DO NOT wait for race officials to guide you to safe areas! This procedure is for your benefit and safety!

Hydration and nourishment:

It is up to each runner and/or participant to ensure they stay hydrated and nourished. If a runner and/or participant feels they are not hydrated and/or nourished properly or they become dehydrated and/or under nourished, they need to immediately stop participating in the event in any manner and seek assistance.

The Running For The Bay! event features a Ultra 50K, Full Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K and 5K (all with wheelchair and walking divisions) in beautiful Apalachicola, Florida on Sunday - October 21, 2012. The races are designed to bring attention to the Apalachicola Bay area, the most beautiful and important estuary in America.

Sanctioning

USA Triathlon is the national governing body for the sports of triathlon, duathlon, winter triathlon and aquathlon in the United States.
