Run for the Roses is hosted by the Ames Area Running Club (AARC) and Alpha Omicron Pi sorority. Proceeds from the race are donated by AOPi to Arthritis Research Grants. Events include a 10K race, 5K run/walk, and non-competitive kid's runs on the track at the start/finish area. Participants receive a long-sleeved race t-shirt, red rose to all finishers, and a free omelet breakfast prepared by the sorority. Awards will be given in certain categories.
