Brief Description

This will be the 2nd running of Jones Bridge Animal Hospital's Stray Dog Strut! This is a dog-friendly event and runners are encouraged to bring their canine companions to participate in the festivities. Our goal is to raise money to provide Atlanta-area rescue animals with medical care, shelter and the companionship they need until their permanent homes are found. All participants, friends and family are invited to stay after the race for refreshments and activities for the entire family!

Series affiliation and timing

The race is part of the Black Bag Race Series. Finish line management and results provided by Classic Race Services with results posted online to www.classicraceservices.com, www.active.com, www.runningintheusa.com and www.coolrunning.com.

Shirts and Goodies

Packet pickup and race day registration will begin on race day at 7AM. Only pre-registered participants are guaranteed a shirt, race day registrants will be given shirts while supplies last. There will be plenty of fluids and snacks after the race.

Additional Information

This 3.1 mile course is fast, flat and will begin and end in the parking lot of the New Balance store, making a loop including North Point Parkway, Haynes Bridge Road and Mansell Road. Participants will share roads with auto traffic but will have at least one lane (coned-off) to themselves.

The race will conclude with a post-race awards ceremony in which awards will be presented in multiple categories and age groups. Runners joined by their canine companions will be urged to enter their pets into a ‘Best Costume’ contest, in which awards will also be given out. Participants will receive a commemorative t-shirt and race packet that will be filled with goodies.
