Brief Description

The horror of Niemann-Pick Disease is too great for most of us to imagine. This rare, deadly disease robs a child of our most precious gift - life. At the same time parents must suffer through the gradual decline and certain death of their child. The 5K Run/Walk promotes awareness and raises money for research in hopes of a cure. Registration for this event will take place from 9:00 -10:00AM. Both the run/walk will begin at 10:00 AM. The course is very scenic with a couple of moderate hills. There will be a 14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+ divisions. The overall male and female runner will receive a prize and trophy and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each division will receive a medal. Cotton T-shirts will be given to all walkers and tech shirts to all runners who register by April 20th. Also goody bags will be handed out on a race day to the first 1000 pre-registered. We also will have one band performing (Marshall's Highway), food, and a great basket raffle. We will also have the Penn State Nittany Lion, inflatables, and more. This will be a great family event. With online registration there is a $3.25 processing fee.
