Come Celebrate 30 Years! The Algonac Pickerel Run is a wonderful way to celebrate the Day of Independence. On Sunday, July 1, 2012, runners from all over Michigan will join us to enjoy the festivities our great city has to offer. From the race, a carnival tournament, to a 4th of July parade with bands and floats, there is something the whole family can enjoy.
- FREE pancake breakfast presented by the Clay Township Fire Department for all participants; $5 for non-participants. - Algonac High School will be open to host Race Day packet pick-up and registration - PLUS THERE WILL BE BATHROOMS!

The Start Line for the 10K Run, 5K Run and 5K Walk will be located at the Algonac High School. The Finish Line and course for the Kids Minnow Run will be located at the Clay Township Park, next to the Clay Township Offices. To view the course map, please visit our website: www.pickerelrun.com Water Stations will be located at the 2-Mile and 4-Mile points on the 10K course, and at the turnaround point on the 5K course.
Participants will compete in the following Male and Female Age Groups for the 10K Run, 5K Run and 5K Walk: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 & over.
Prizes in the form of Awards will be given to the top Male and Female Overall Winners (10K Run & 5K Run only). Medals will be given to the Overall Masters Winners and top three (3) Male and Female Age Group Winners for the 10K Run, 5K Run and 5K Walk. All finishers in the Kids Minnow 1/4 Mile will receive an award.
The Algonac Pickerel Run and Lions Club provides this event as a way for runners and walkers to make their experience more meaningful by exercising for a cause. The Pickerel Run proudly supports the Leader Dogs for the Blind.
