Brief Description

Barefoot Music Festival 5K takes place in conjunction with the Compass Lake in the Hills Barefoot Music Festival. The Barefoot Music Festival is a 2 day event which will feature various musical groups, including the popular band Shenandoah. All race participants will get a ticket into the festival both nights.

Compass Lake In The Hills

Compass Lake features a complete equestrian center with stables, horses, riding trails and instruction. If you like to sail, motorboat, waterski, fish & swim, Compass Lake has a 600 acre natural spring fed lake just for you. As you can see we have facilities for just about anything you care to do. Come and join us at our upcoming Barefoot Music Festival and see what a great spot Compass Lake in the Hills truly is! Hope to see you in May!

Event Visors until supplies run out!

Race participants will receive a Barefoot 5K sun visor as part of their registration until supplies run out.

Additional Information

An overall male and overall female trophy will be awarded. Standard five year age division awards for 1st,2nd, and 3rd place winners in each category also will be awarded. In addition to our regular tennis shoe runner award winners, overall male and female "barefoot" winners will receive a special award. A barefoot runner will be a runner who chooses to run either barefoot or chooses to wear Vibram Five Fingers to run the race in. Door prizes will be given away as well. Race packets can be picked up Friday evening at Compass Lake in the Hills Lodge. See host website, www.runningmoms.org for additional information. Race participants may also pick up their race packets on the morning of the race.
