High Desert presents a unique and beautiful setting for this event. Located at the eastern edge of Albuquerque in the Sandia Foothills, High Desert was developed as a sustainable community, born of a conviction that development should co-exist with nature. Native vegetation, natural arroyos and wildlife are abundant at High Desert.
2010's Run for the Hills will take full advantage of High Desert's own numerous trails and paths as well as the community's immediate proximity to Albuquerque's Open Space, the Cibola National Forest and the Sandia Mountain Wilderness Area.
