Brief Description

Join us for the first-ever Trails for Tails 5k! Proceeds will help support Paws & Prayers' mission to place homeless pets in responsible and loving furever homes, and to promote spay/neuter in our community. Paws & Prayers is a 501(c)3 and a BBB A+ rated charity. Please visit www.pawsandprayers.org to learn more about us.

Course Information

The course will be on the service trail/Towpath; surface is packed gravel and course is fairly flat. Race will be chip-timed by Chaney Events Management. Pre-/post-race stretching instruction is courtesy of our friends at HealthSource of Norton. Light post-race refreshments will be provided to our runners as well.

Registration Information

Online registration is available through August 3rd. Pick up registration packets August 4th from 11:00 am-3:00 pm at Petsmart on Howe Rd. in Cuyahoga Falls or on race day from 8:00-8:30 am at the race location (Akron Dog Park). *Note: Registrants from 08/03 on may receive a Paws & Prayers-style shirt in lieu of a Trails for Tails-style shirt due to limited stock. But everyone will get a shirt, we promise!

Additional Information

Yes, you can bring your dog to run/walk the 5k! We will give our dogless runners a head start, and no retractable leashes, please. Be aware of weather conditions and your pet's physical abilities when deciding if your pet will join you for the 5k. Stick around post-race for our Paws & Prayers alumni picnic! We will have adoptable dogs on hand as well as pet-related exibitors and demonstrations. We hope to see many former Paws & Prayers dogs there to say hello, and new friends to meet our available pets!
