why Race for Grace?

100% of proceeds will go toward supporting the Harris family, a Bentwater family whose 7-year-old daughter Gracie has cerebral palsy. Gracie needs home modifications to make her world more accessible by the wheelchair that she experiences life in, ranging from a ramp to enter the house, bathroom modifications for her w/c & roll in shower, wider doorways, all the way to an elevator to allow her access to other levels of her home. Our goal is to give Grace an increasingly normal childhood.

Race Times and after party

TIME: 7:30-12 noon. Race-day registration 7:30 a.m. 5K will begin at 8:30 a.m. 1-mile Fun Run will begin at 8:45. AFTER PARTY: : DJ Josh Beasley will be spinning tunes, while Personal Fitness Consulting owner Amy Fendley conducts cool down stretching. more info at http://blackdressredwagon.com/raceforgrace/ Race for Grace is officially an UNTIMED RACE, unofficial race timer will be at the finish line for your personal records.

Dirrections/Parking

From Interstate 75 take exit 278/Glade Road, go west to the second light, take a right on Lake Acworth Drive/92, in 2 miles make a right in US41, go to the second red light, make a left onto Cedarcrest Road (look for Publix), go 2.5 miles Bentwater Activity Field and club house is on the left.

Goodie Bags, T-shirts and Awards!!!

* Goody bags provided by PT Solutions will be given to each participant. * 1st, 2nd, and 3rd race plates will be provided to each male and female winner-- hand-painted for Race for Grace by Just Fired Pottery Studio * T-shirts are available for preorder at $10 each and some will be available race day for purchase.

PARKING

* Parking is available at the Bentwater Activity Center. Additional parking is in the Primrose building parking lot adjacent to the Activity Center, and also across the street in the Justice Orthodontics business complex, located just off Golf Crest Drive

RACE ROUTE

The race will leave from the Bentwater parking lot and turn right onto Golf Crest Dr. It will then take a right onto Oak Wind Pointe and go to the end of the cul de sac, returning to Golf Crest Dr and taking a right, running it's length returning at its end which is the 1.5 mile mark. On the return, the course turns right onto Misty View Lane with turn around in it's cul de sac, returning to Golf Crest Drive taking. Right back to the activities field where the finish line will be.
