Brief Description

USATF certified 10K (#TX08100ETM) chip timed. Race begins as the hot air balloons launch,*wind permitting. Asphalt roads behind Redbud Y and scenic south Abilene neighborhoods of High Meadows and Hedges. Flat and fast. Final mile re-enters park on path back to finish where friendly crowds await. Kids run is on paved path within park/ all receive finisher's awards. FUN family entertainment in park all day and into the night as the balloons glow in the west Texas evening.
