The RUN FIT Half-Marathon Training Program is designed for first time half-marathon runners looking to continue training from a 10K or 10 miler level and for intermediate to advanced runners looking to develop and strengthen their skills for a half-marathon distance event in late Winter/early Spring 2013. Runners should currently be able to run or run/walk 3-4 miles at a conversational pace (under 13:30 min/mile).
The RUN FIT Half-Marathon Training Program program offers a complete 16 week training schedule with 3 group training sessions per week, weekly email support, guidance and support from experienced coaches on proper running form, progression, pacing, injury prevention and nutrition, as well as, information on proper running equipment selection.
Runners will meet @8am Saturday mornings for group long runs and have the option to participate in coached group track/hill workouts @7pm on Tuesdays and/or organized group tempo runs @7pm on Thursdays. The first group workout will be @8am on Saturday, November 24th at FLEET FEET Sports, Adams Morgan.
An information session will be held @11am on Sunday, November 4th at FLEET FEET Sports in order to review program details and answer any questions you might have about RUN FIT Half-Marathon Training.
The RUN FIT Half-Marathon Training Program is presented by FLEET FEET DC Running Club in association with BROOKS RUNNING and all participants will receive a moisture wicking T-shirt from BROOKS RUNNING and a 10% discount from FLEET FEET Sports!
