About the Program

This is a 10 week program for beginners! People who have never ran before or who haven't ran in a several years. We start out alternating running with walking. Over time, we decrease the walking, increase the running, and at the end of 10 weeks....you're running 3.1 miles! We meet as a group for our discussion and group training once a week. We discuss some topic related to running for about 20 minutes, we stretch together and train together as a group.

What to Wear & Bring

Wear running/tennis shoes! Don't go out and buy new shoes prior to the Program. We will have a gait analysis and shoe clinic early in the Program, just to make sure you are wearing the correct shoes for your foot and pronation. Wear loose fitting, light colored clothing. Bring water and a watch with a second hand or stop watch function.

Leading up to the Kickoff!

Drink water, water, water! We lose fluids with every breath, urination, sweat, tears, etc. I want you all hydrated and ready to go! Dehydration may cause muscle cramping and sluggishness. Your body needs nutrients! Eat a low fat diet consisting of frest fruits and vegetables and minimally processed meats and carbs! Help the system work for YOU! Start walking! Walking converts very nicely to running!

Cost

Orientation is FREE! There is no obligation to continue with the Program. If you decide to CONTINUE with the Program, the cost is $20 per week. I ask everyone to prepay for the week, so that you're MINE for that week. (You can drop out of the Program at any time, with written notice (via email).
