Brief Description

The Capital City Multisport Club had a GREAT year in 2009 and will continue to provide the same benefits to new and returning members in 2010. CCMC offers fun and challenging training and racing opportunities. CCMC is open to athletes of all levels and abilities from first-time triathletes to sponsored athletes and local professionals. CCMC will feature group training opportunities, coached workouts and camps, club races, monthly meetings, social activities, sponsor discounts and much more.

Purpose:

The purpose of the Capital City Multisport Club is to provide athletes of all levels and abilities support through education, training activities, coached programs and seminars, and to stimulate a team atmosphere in a supportive and social environment.

Monthly Meetings:

The Capital City Multisport Club will hold monthly meetings. Meetings will be held at Fleet Feet on the first Monday of every month at 7:30 p.m. Anyone is welcome to attend. As the size and budget of the club grows, guest speakers will become an important part of the club meetings.

Weekly Workouts

The Capital City Multisport Club will incorporate several group workouts throughout the week. These workouts will include coached and un-coached swim, bike and run workouts. Open water swim workouts will be available in summer months. In the winter months, workouts will include indoor cycling and use of the salt water lap pool at Pinnacle Health and Fitness. (Non-members of Pinnacle Health and Fitness will need to pay a small fee to use the pool and/or cycling rooms.)

Racing:

The Capital City Multisport Club will organize several club races throughout the year. CCMC also has an agreement with Race Day Events, LLC that provides discounts to club members doing any RDE events. CCMC will also have a year-long Grand Prix Race Series that will include club races, RDE races and other local events.

Training:

The Capital City Multisport Club will offer Ironman training and coaching programs, beginner triathlete training and coaching programs, open water clinics, bike maintenance clinics and more. Individualized swim coaching, bike coaching, run coaching, and personal training will be available through our network of personal trainers and certified coaches for an additional cost.

Social Events:

The Capital City Multisport Club will host social activities including: post race parties, potluck dinners after training events, Tour de France viewing parties, Ironman viewing parties, bbq’s, volunteering and community efforts, year-end award presentations, and much more.

Discounts:

The Capital City Multisport Club has negotiated discounts from a growing list of sponsors. Discounts are available on race entry fees, coaching and training opportunities, and at local suppliers of bikes and accessories, nutrition, apparel, running shoes, swim gear, restaurants, and much more.
