Brief Description

In this 60 minute workshop, 11x Ironman winner Lisa Bentley will share her tips for preparing to run and race a marathon in an ironman. After 33 Ironman events and 3 sub 3 hour marathons (2:58, 2:59, 2:59), Lisa has figured out how to balance training with injury prevention and how to perfect the nutrition to set up your best Ironman marathon.

What participants will learn

You will learn how to train properly for the Ironman marathon, what nutritional guidelines to follow, and how to continue to train for the marathon with limited running and still be successful.

Where and When

This workshop is wll be held at 10:00AM in the media room of the Zesiger Sports & Fitness Center at MIT. The media room is on the first floor right around the corner from Au Bob Pain. This is one in a series of workshops and clinics being offered at the Multisport World Conference and Expo.

Additional Information

Of value to triathletes looking to complete their first Ironman or PR in their next one, attendees will learn how base training, strides, hill training, tempo, intervals, long run – all in combination with sound nutrition and an “I Believe in Myself” attitude -- will get you to the finish line.
