Callista Balko from the University of Arizona will run a skills camp for catchers only. Callista Balko was the catcher for the 2006 and 2007 University of Arizona NCAA National Championship team. She and Taryn Mowatt provided the tournament’s most memorable moments by coming back to beat the University of Tennessee and Monica Abbott twice to win the championship. In January 2008, Callista was named to the watch list for USA Softball National Player of the Year. Callista is also a World University Games member and an Olympic Camp Tryout Invitee. She was signed as an undrafted free agent by the National Pro Fastpitch team Washington Glory, and had her debut for the team in June 2008. In the summer of 2010, Callista led the Worth Select team to the championship of the Puerto Rico games.
