The Reston Bicycle Club (RBC) was formed in 1982 to promote cycling in the Reston, VA and surrounding areas.
RBC is a volunteer, non-profit club, with over 650 members. RBC organizes weekly bicycle rides and social events for all levels and abilities. RIDE LEVELSS: Social Riders; Relaxed, casual tempo per group consensusC: Average riders. Moderate pace, 15 - 50 miles, 10 - 15 mph averageB: Strong riders. Demanding pace, 25 - 75 mi, 15 - 18 mph averageA: Aggressive riders. Grueling pace with sprints, 40 - 100 mi, 18 - 20+ mph Rides are held every Saturday & Sunday throughout the year. Also, during day light saving months, regular rides meet on Tuesday and Thursday evenings starting 6:00 PM. In addition, the club sponsors several social functions, publishes a monthly electronic-newsletter, and offers other resources to bicycle enthusiasts. RBC strives to maintain working relationships with local and state governing bodies to promote equitable legislation and raise public awareness.
Annual membership dues are $25.00 per household
