What's Included

Pick up at Lake Tahoe School in Incline Village, and at Raley's in Galena. Team One: Grades 2-4 (extended days, 8:30-5:30) Team Two: Grades 5-7 (extended days, 8:30-5:30) Team Three: Grades 8-9 (extended days, 8:30-5:30) Project Discovery and Discovering Grace Adventures are once again collaborating to create an excellent adventure leadership experience. Students are sure to experience exciting outdoor adventures with their team as they explore the Tahoe outdoors together! • Monday & Tuesday: The first two days of this program will be spent at the Project Discovery Ropes Challenge Course at Sky Tavern. This course is one of the largest challenge courses in the country and offers fun and exciting leadership opportunities like a ride down a 550’ zip line, a double trapeze bar and many team elements up high for all to enjoy. Students will also learn how to belay in a supervised team setting and how to climb and balance on dozens of exciting elements. • Wednesday: Students will spend the day at a safe, beginning rock climbing site on the Truckee River. Students will use the skills learned on the ropes course and will apply it to real rocks at a well-supervised location. This beginning rock climbing area is a great place to practice the art of rappelling and rock climbing followed by some water play in the Truckee River. • Thursday: On the fourth day, participants will attempt a summit team climb up Mt. Rose and visit a waterfall along the way. Campers not up to the Summit Challenge will spend time in Environmental Education activities on Galena Creek and at Frog Pond. • Friday: The week will conclude with an exciting day in kayaks on Lake Tahoe where students will learn about boating safety and other kayak travel skills. This last day on the water is a time to enjoy new friendships and relive adventures the group has shared together. • This week will not only provide students a great adventure in the local Tahoe area but also focus on helping students find and
