INTRODUCTION TO PADDLECRAFT REGISTRATION Calling all kayaks, canoes and stand-up paddle boarders (SUP's) - enter the 2015 King Harbor Holiday Boat Parade today. Last year, our 2nd year of including paddle craft, you showed up in record numbers (over 65 paid participants) and tremendously enhanced this annual event. We can't wait to see what you'll do with this year's theme "Tropical Holidays". For this event, paddle craft is defined as a manually propelled vessel by paddle with no more than two persons aboard. A group is considered two or more vessels that have individually registered but have declared themselves as a group at the mandatory paddlecraft meeting the week of the boat parade. Our 2015 paddle craft coordinators are once again Chris (firstname.lastname@example.org) and Ana (email@example.com). PADDLECRAFT REGISTRATION This year’s holiday boat parade is Saturday, December 12, and begins at 4:30 PM with the paddle craft. Entrants will make one trip around the marina and will be judged in 5 categories: 1) Best Group (Perpetual Trophy), 2) Most Creative, 3) Best Execution of Parade Theme, 4) Most Comical, and 5) Most Festive. Entrants may compete as individuals or as a group. However, each participant in a group MUST REGISTER INDIVIDUALLY and declare themselves as part of a "group" on the registration form and/or at the mandatory participant meeting the week of the parade. The registration software will allow you to register multiple individuals at once. SUP/Paddle craft entries will launch at a pre-designated launch point and be on the water for one hour. SUP/paddle craft entrants are invited to King Harbor Yacht Club at the conclusion of their parade for dinner (optional purchase) and the social/awards ceremony. One drink ticket (house beer/wine) is provided to each participant who joins the festivities at KHYC following the parade Registration is $15 per entrant (plus a small processing fee) and the last day to register is December 10th.
