The 5K begins at 8:30 am with the kid?s dash starting at 9:30 am.
Competitive vs Recreational
Entrants in the 5K have a choice of entering as a competitive or recreational runner. Competitive entrants will receive an official time and be eligible for awards. Recreational entrants will not receive official times, but can either time themselves or see their times on the digital clock at the finish line.
The entry fees for the 5K are $25 for ages 15 and older and only $10 for ages 14 and younger. The 5K entry fee includes a t-shirt and a ?goodie bag.? There is no entry fee for the Kid?s Dash. T-shirts are guaranteed to all those entered in the 5K by October 1.
Special Family Fee
There is also a special Family Fee of $60 for a family of 4.
Late Regstration/Packet Pickup
Late entrants can register and pre-registered entrants can pick up their packets at the Sports Club on Tuesday, October 22, from 11 am ? 1 pm and also on Wednesday, October 23, from 5:30 ? 7 pm. Late entrants can also register and pre-registered entrants can also pick up their packets at the Sports Club on race day beginning at 7 am.
In the 5K awards will be given to the top male overall, to the top female overall and to the top three finishers in each of the following age groups: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60-over. In the 100-meter dash ribbons will be given to all finishers.
An award will also be given to the best costumes for adult males and females and for youth males and females.

Profits from the event will be given to the V Foundation for Cancer Research which is dedicated to saving lives by finding a cure for cancer.
All participants are encouraged to come dressed in costume and become part of the Halloween themed event and add to the funny and scary festive feel! Come to compete, be entertained with live music and games, trick-or-treat at various stations, and much more! In addition to the 5K, the event also includes a 100-meter Kids Run for children 9 and younger.
