Gather your friends, family and colleagues to join us for South Hill Puyallup';s inaugural ROGERS REINDEER RUN. This community race will take place at the Heritage Rec Center Park Trails on a new USATF certified 5K course and USATF certified 10K course and is a great opportunity to run Individually or as a Team. This will be a timed and sanctioned event.
ONLINE REGISTRATION CLOSES DEC. 6TH @ 11:59pm. IN-PERSON REGISTRATION AVAILABLE THRU 12/07/2012 @ GUYS & DOLLS - 12110 South Meridian Puyallup, WA 98373 (Located on South Hill in same parking lot as Kentucky Fried Chicken). and at DICK';S SPORTING GOODS @ SH MALL - DEC. 7th: 2pm - 8pm.
INDIVIDUALS: 5K runners and walkers and 10K runners. 5K Run will be USATF certified course - 10K Run will be USATF certified course.
1st Place M/F winners in 5K & 10K each receive a $50 gift certificate from Dick';s Sporting Goods + Race Medal & Bib Display Plaque.
2nd Place M/F winners in 5K & 10K each receive a $20 gift card from Sports Authority.
3rd Place M/F winners in 5K & 10K each receive a $15 gift card from Sports Authority.
1st place runner in each age division receives a $5 Starbucks gift card.
1st, 2nd, 3rd place runners and top 3 team times receive ribbons.
Children in 1K Santa';s Elves Walk receive a participation medal.
All team runners are also eligible for individual awards.
REGISTER AS A TEAM: When registering as an Individual, you can also run as a team with a min. of 3 runners to a max. 8 runners - no extra charge. Type in the team name when registering. Total team time is determined by the combined top 3 team member';s times. Ribbons will be awarded to the top 3 teams in both the 5K & 10K. All team members are also eligible for Individual age-group awards.
EARLY PACKET PICK-UP & LATE REGISTRATION: Dick';s Sporting Goods - So. Hill Mall, Puyallup: Dec. 7th 2pm - 8pm.
SAME DAY REGISTRATION available at the Heritage Rec Center from 7:30am - 8:30am.
LINE UP: Runners will be lined up in front, followed by walkers and then walkers w/strollers, etc.
STROLLERS: Strollers are welcome, however, we ask that they remain at the back of the pack at the start of the race and please be cautious during the race for runners and walkers. Bikes, rollerblades, skates, scooters and skateboards are prohibited.
T-SHIRTS: The first 100 registrations are guaranteed T-Shirts.
HOLIDAY FOOD DRIVE: Bring canned or non-perishable food items and get 1 Raffle ticket for each item donated. Winner will receive a $15 gift card. Donations will benefit the Puyallup Salvation Army Food Bank.
THIS RUN WILL TAKE PLACE RAIN OR SHINE. If extreme weather conditions force a cancellation, the alternate run date will be Feb. 9, 2013. THERE ARE NO REFUNDS. Paid registrations can be switched to another runner - $5 admin fee applies.
PETS: Due to safety reasons, except for seeing-eye dogs, pets are not allowed to participate in the Rogers Reindeer Run.
