About This Activity

Run beside the beautiful mural-covered flood walls of Portsmouth OH. Enjoy the Summer air as you stare across the Ohio River. AND help to support a good cause! All proceeds of this race will be used by The Salvation Army to fight hunger in our community. If you're looking for an opportunity to run and give back, this is a way to do it. If you're looking for a family event, bring your kids along for the free Healthy Kids Run. T-Shirts, refreshments, and awards provided.

The course is chip-timed for accuracy and convenience. Racers will begin on Front Street at 9am, running along the arrow-marked path next to the flood wall murals. The course takes them partway into town, where it wraps down a road in view of the Ohio River. At 9:45, the kids will line up for the Healthy Kids Run. At 10:00, racers will head toward the Awards Ceremony which will officially start at 10:15. Refreshments will be served at the Awards Ceremony and things should wrap up by 11:00. Awards include: Overall winner (one male/one female); Top Walking finisher (one male/one female); 1 Miler Awards for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place; The Salvation Army Donut Run T-shirt for every participant (only guaranteed to early registrations); All First-Time 5k finishers
