Torrey Pines Institute?s Race for Research is an annual Half Marathon (13.1 miles) and 5K (3.1 miles) along the lovely streets of Tradition in western Port Saint Lucie, Florida. Fast, flat, scenic routes with aid stations and great views, the Race for Research has been awarded ?Best Local Race? in the Treasure Coast area.Proceeds from the Race for Research are applied to Torrey Pines Institute?s groundbreaking research programs for Alzheimer?s disease, AIDS, arthritis, cancer and more.
Early Registration for the Half Marathon closes Jan 1st 2013. The courses will be the same as last year. Friday, March 22nd, 6pm - 1-mile Kids race with awards.Saturday, March 23 - 6:30am start for handcycle/wheelchair, 7am start for Half Marathon. 7:30am start for 5K. There is also an early start option for half marathon that starts at 6:30am for those who need extra time.
