NEW: Changes to the CANS Training & Certification Exam - CEU Request Berkshire AHEC can provide health professionals with Continuing Education Credits (CECs) for professional licenses/disciplines for the new On-line CANS training. There is a $80 fee per discipline. The new version of the CANS Traiing and Certification exam are eligible for Continuing Education Credits for a number of professions (Marriage and Family Therapy, Nursing, Psychology, and Social Work). Please allow 3 weeks for processing your CEC certificate. 8 CEC/Contact Hours are available. The Massachusetts Child & Adolescent Needs and Strengths (CANS) training is for clinicians in certain levels of care who provide behavioral health assessments to MassHealth children and youth under the age of 21. These clinicians are required to complete this training and certification in order to provide behavioral health assessments if they are enrolled as a MassHealth provider or a network provider in one of MassHealth’s contracted managed care entities.
