About This Activity

This unique one-mile race is short, fast and fun for the whole family. It features seven waves of runners from the recreational level to the elite level with competitors and participants alike racing on Liberty Avenue in Downtown Pittsburgh. Whether you run marathons, track, cross-country or simply run to stay fit, this event is for you!

Start Times:

7:00 PM One for Fun Mile - Recreational Mile for ages 5 - 76 years old, open run category.

7:00 PM Kids of STEEL Mile - Timed Mile for our Kids of STEEL students and their parents/guardians.

7:00 PM Giving Back Mile - Participants register and raise money for a participating charity.

7:00 PM It's All Business Mile - Participants register and participate with their corporate teammates.

7:20 PM Unstoppable Mile - Ages 14-39 years old. Open to competitive milers - male and female.

7:20 PM Unstoppable 40+ Mile - Open to competitive milers 40 years or older - male and female

7:30 PM USA Women's Masters 1 Mile Championships

7:40 PM USA Men's Masters 1 Mile Championships

7:50 PM Pro Mile Female - Qualified participants 18 years old and older - 5:00 min/mile or under

8:00 PM Pro Mile Male - Qualified participants 18 years old and older - 4:17 min/mile or under.

Packet Pick-up:

Participants will pick up their race numbers starting at 5:30 PM on Friday, August 9 in Market Square. Participants will receive their t-shirts at the finish line after they complete their mile.
