The Y Race, now in its 45th year, is the oldest road race in Arizona. The scenic rolling course starts and finishes at South Mountain Park, the largest municipal park in the country. Both the Half Marathon and 5K courses are out and back routes run completely within the park, with spectacular views of both striking desert mountain terrain and skyline vistas of the nation's sixth largest city. This year the Y Race is co-hosted by the Valley of the Sun YMCA and Arizona State University, two of our region's oldest and most respected institutions with a shared dedication to a healty and fit Arizona.
Bring the whole family! Back this year is the popular Kids Zone area with face painting, Jump House, arts and crafts stations, Kids Fitness Class and a climbing wall! Best of all — you can run the Y Race while your kids play! Our awesome YMCA Child Watch experts will watch your kids, ages 3-12, while you run. See yracephoenix.com for more details.
