BALLET (Beginning): Adult

About This Activity

This class is for students with little to no ballet training, students wishing to return to dance after a prolonged hiatus, and students who would like to fill the gaps in their knowledge of basic classical ballet. Learn simple barre, center steps, and exercises. Emphasis is on basic body alignment, ballet arm, and foot positions. Develop grace, rhythm, balance, and flexibility in a fun and casual setting. Comfortable dance or exercise wear is recommended. T-shirts may also be worn. (No pants below the ankle for your safety. No jeans). Ballet shoes are recommended. Gymnastic, jazz, dance paws, or any other soft dance shoes may be worn. Please do not wear jazz sneakers, athletic shoes, character or other hard soled shoes.
