The Coding Club offers students an opportunity to explore the world of computer programming. Under the direction of GFS’s Upper School Computer Science teacher Matt Zipin, participants will be introduced to the fundamentals of coding, develop their logical and sequential thinking, and gain an understanding of the critical role coding now plays in our modern world. Participants will use Scratch 4.0, a programming language that not only gives young tech wizards the ability to create games and interactive stories, but also allows them to share and collaborate with a huge community of other beginning programmers. Each week, our programmers-in-the-making will tackle challenges designed to stretch their understanding of, and familiarity with, both the art and science of computer coding. Please note: Because this club will begin at 3:30 p.m., 20 minutes of coverage in ASP or MSAS is included in the price.
