Building on the success of the fall-term production of The Nutcracker, winter-term Ballet Club students will have the opportunity both to learn the story of Swan Lake, one of the world’s most beloved ballets, and to perform choreographed dances based on some of its most famous scenes. GFS’s esteemed ballet instructor, Martin Skocelas-Hunter, as well as the program’s expert dance assistants, Grace and Lila Kushner, are all returning to share the joy of moving to music in a class focused on enriching children’s lives with an appreciation and love of dance. Newcomers are welcome. Please note: Students need their own ballet slippers, tights and leotards, which can be purchased through www.discountdance.com. In addition, if your child wishes to enroll in Ballet II and is not already an ASP participant, he or she may attend ASP before Ballet II class for a modest additional fee.
