This camp is the real deal: a fun and dynamic program that will focus on the authentic building blocks of theatre practice, including warm-ups, theatre games, improvisation, scene work, vocal production, and beginning stage design. Campers will have the opportunity to create authentic work that will provide them with insight into theatre as a lens through which to see and understand the world. PAPAYA (PA Performing Arts for Young Audiences) presents and produces the finest work for young audiences and the adults that accompany them. PAPAYA at TPS will be taught by working professionals in the field with seminars from some of the top practitioners in Philadelphia today. PAPAYA’s Artistic Director for Production is Whit MacLaughlin (Arden Theatre, Interact Theatre, New Paradise Laboratories) and our lead instructor is Katie Croyle, a professional actor, who has taught the Actors’ Workshop after school at TPS for the past three years. Early drop off is available at no additional cost from 8:00am-9:00am. Optional Extended Day available from 3:00-5:30pm each day. Please select this option during registration.
