Come spend your mornings catch-and-release fishing on the Schuylkill River! Under the expert direction of Virginia Friedman, our own 7th grade teacher and angler, campers will spend half the day along the river and the other half indoors doing related activities, including dissection. Learn about the anatomy of three major fish groups (jawless, bony, and cartilaginous) as we closely examine catfish, skate, perch, lamprey, and others. Campers will collect and graph data from daily catches and learn about the proper care and use of a fishing rod. No prior fishing experience or fishing equipment necessary. Early drop off is available at no additional cost from 8:00am-9:00am. Optional Extended Day available from 3:00-5:30pm each day. Please select this option during registration. Please note there will be NO camp on Monday, July 4.
