What's Included

Campers (ages 11-15) will experience our unique program centered on innovation, mentorship, leadership and community-building. DIGIVATIONS Camp Demigod’s Camp Half-Blood Unites with Camp Jupiter are a blend of world building through innovation, role playing and speculative fiction. These Camps are based on the principles that kids have an enormous reservoir of creativity and innovative ideas which they look forward to sharing with other like-minded individuals who hold common interests. Please register using a computer. Please do not use a tablet or smart phone when you register because the program will not work properly. The registration process takes about an hour and asks you to answer about 50 questions. The program does not allow you to save your work, so it is best to answer the questions in one sitting, electronically sign all the waivers and pay your deposit so you are fully registered. Many of the questions at the end of the application are best answered in consultation with your child: so that they express their interests, their first choices of cabin (demigod or fandom), etc. Tuition covers all meals, housing, instruction, guest lectures, ImagineSTEM blog, mentoring, supervision, materials, and recreation fees. This amount does not include transportation to and from the camp in Point Roberts, WA. International students who fly into Vancouver International Airport (YVR) will be transported to and from the airport for an additional $60 fee each way. Other optional items that may be purchased through the on-line registration system include private and semi-private instruction in Music Composition, Martial Arts, Fine Art, Film Making, Creative Writing, Group Innovation Seminars and ESL. Parents may also purchase merchandise, such as, the camp T-Shirt, additional and delux sword & personalized costume materials, Camp Store Credit (to buy play Drachmas: Greek Money), a Camp Bound Photo Album, a Stuffed Animal Tardigrade, and more!

About This Organizer

Make-believe worlds spring off the page in an idyllic rustic forest setting near the beach! In teams, students plan and perform their stories (real or imagined) based on mythological Greek characters (demigods, such as Percy Jackson).

Similar to Rick Riordan's inspired Camp Half-Blood, Camp Demigod, will be centered around Greek mythology and have many adventures and quests. At Camp Demigod, campers, interns, and cabin leaders will make friends and build community as they: learn about literature, innovation, science, philosophy, and team-work; design and construct labyrinths, masks, costumes, and hand-made musical instruments; create stories, dramas, and movies; train and learn the rules of engagement for capture-the-flag, chariot games, and more while lodging in an idyllic rustic forest setting half mile to the beach. Some of the fun that we can reveal is that Camp Demigod will have both in residence and visiting very innovative faculty, guest artists, scientists, authors and trained experts in theatrical swordsmanship and other tactical and strategic skills.

Camp Demigod will also focus on innovation, mentorship and developing young leaders. Camp Demigod will integrate DIGIVATIONS international NASA award winning STEM+ARTS+MOVEMENT curriculum featuring robots to rockets, and its Sphere of Influence Innovation programs where kids learn how artists, writers, scientists, engineers, technologists and others influence each other to be innovative and contribute positively to the world around them.

With current events as a backdrop, students learn about innovation ranging from the inventions of Ancient Greece to Space exploration setting the stage for learning 21st Century Themes. Students are introduced to mentors both in person and through SKYPE. They meet professionals from the Arts, Film, Games, Drama, Science, & Technology through DIGIVATIONS interactive ImagineSTEM™ blog and weDIGIVATE™ eCommunity.
