The City of Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department offers many wonderful activities for children between the ages of 3 and 5. These classes provide a wonderful introduction into an organized, positive, classroom environment. Begin the socialization process for your child with a fun and exciting recreational class provided by your City of Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department. Exposing youth to the Fine Arts with a positive message""" Class intergrates physical literacy, nutrition education, brain-body science, personal best and play, making the program a complete wellness package." Through the use of step-by-step progressions are learning the basic skills of gymnastics including handstands, cartwheels and backward rolls. Our curriculum encompasses a wide spectrum of tumbling skills, apparatus skills, static poses and loco motor movements. The Rising Stars students are provided with an array of apparatus circuit work that keeps everyone engaged in activity. Learning new skills is such fun!
