Description

The City of Southlake and Keep Southlake Beautiful are working together to help beautify the community through the Southlake Street Tree Program. The program encourages Southlake residents to purchase trees to plant throughout the City and the city covers half the cost of the tree. All sales are final; no refunds offered. The purchased Street Tree is not guaranteed and will not be replaced. One tree per Southlake household Thirty nine (39) trees are available through the program and are available on a first come, first served basis. There are four varieties of trees offered through the Street Tree Program: Bur Oak, Lacebark Elm, Live Oak and Chinese Pistache. For more info on these trees please visit www.SouthlakeParksAndRec.com All purchased trees must be maintained and cared for by the property owner. The nursery is not responsible for the maintenance of the tree once the tree has been planted. Tree placement must be flagged and comply with the following: �� Must be planted in the City right-of-way, or with permission of the Landscape Administrator, in medians within the right-of-way or within the right-of-way along common greens. Generally, the right-of-way is 8 to 10 feet from the edge of the curb. * If the tree cannot be planted in the right-ofway, the homeowner shall donate a Landscape Easement at a maximum of 10" in addition to the width of the right-of-way. *Tree may NOT be planted further than 20" from the back of the curb. * Street trees cannot be planted within 35" of a street corner, within 10ft of a fire hydrant or directly under any overhead power lines.
LIABILITY WAIVER I certify that I understand any dangers inherent to my participation in this program & further state that I am aware of the criteria it takes to care for the tree I receive. Furthermore, I understand I am responsible for caring & maintaining the tree & there is no guarantee or refund.
