Brief Description
Welcome to the 1st Annual Jack and Jill Triathlons, including a Kids' Triathlon! We will be hosting three events:
1. Men Only Open Water Triathlon, Friday (5:00PM)
2. Kids' Triathlon, Friday (7:00PM)
3. Women Only Open Water Triathlon, Saturday (10:00AM)
The Men's and Women's events will feature a Sprint distance road (0.75K swim/20K bike/5K run) triathlon: single loop open water swim in Call's Fort Waterski Lake, a road bike along low traffic roads, and multi-loop run around the lake.
Additional Information
The Jack and Jill Triathlon weekend is a USA Triathlon (USAT) sanctioned event.
Call's Fort Waterski Lake is one of the SAFEST open water venues anywhere! With a maximum depth of only ~6 feet with even shallower edges, you will be able to easily swim to the side to rest if needed.
The bike course for the Kids Tri will be around the lake on a hard-packed dirt road, so mountain bikes are recommended for the older kids.
We also have a unique run course that includes 3 loops around the lake. Where else can your family and friends see you and cheer you on the entire time?!?!
Registration for each event is limited to 400 athletes. Note that registration will close when this limit is reached and may be prior to the online registration close date listed above.
Wetsuits are recommended but not required. The water temperature will be ~68F.
Awards for all events will be given to the Top 3 overall and Top 3 in each age group. We will also have our Jack and Jill Award for the couple with the lowest combined times! Electronic chip timing will be provided by Milliseconds.
