Race Requirements

You must be at least 14 years of age to register and compete in the half marathon. The half marathon course will be reopened to traffic after 3 hours, at 10:00 am. Race timing will be until 10:00 am. There will not be any support for runners or walkers along the race course after 10:00 am. Dogs, vehicles to transport children, bicycles, skates, and skateboards, are prohibited.

Packet Pick-Up & Race Expo

Racers can pick up their packets and visit our race expo from 1:00 - 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 6 in the Seaside Lyceum.

 

Benefit

100% of all proceeds from race will benefit the Seaside Neighborhood School (a public charter middle school in Walton County, FL)

Disqualification

Race Officials have the right to disqualify or remove from the course any participant whose activity violates any condition set forth or who poses any harm to himself/herself or any other participant.

Where: Join presenting sponsor VERA BRADLEY in supporting the Seaside Neighborhood School by participating in these races along Scenic Highway 30-A by the beaches of South Walton County. All finishers of both races will receive a free VERA BRADLEY tote bag! Seaside is located on the Gulf of Mexico in Florida's Panhandle (between Destin & Panama City Beach) approximately 5 1/2 hours from Atlanta, Birmingham, New Orleans & Jacksonville. Course: Fast and Mostly Flat! Both race courses are certified, and both races start and finish at the picturesque town of Seaside. The Half Marathoners will run along scenic highway 30-A past the beach towns of Watercolor, Grayton, Blue Mountain, and Santa Rosa, with a turnaround at Gulf Place. Fun: Join us on Saturday, March 6th at the Seaside Lyceum for our runner's expo in the afternoon and registration/packet pick-up from 1:00 - 6:00 p.m. Join us after the race on Sunday for a lawn party, free picnic lunch sponsored by Jim & Nick’s Barbeque (for race participants only), and awards ceremony. All racers will receive a commemorative t-shirt designed by a local artist. Awards: Special awards designed by glass artist Russ Gilbert will be given to the 1st place male and 1st place female in the Open, Masters, and Grand Masters for both races. Attractive etched-glass age group awards will be given for 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place using 5-year age groups (in 5K Run, additional age groups are 6-10, 11-12, 13-14).
