Race Expo
Location: Charlotte Convention Center
Pick up your race packet and ChampionChip at the expo during regular
operating hours on Friday December 11th from 11 a.m. – 8 p.m. and Saturday December 12th from 6:30 a.m. – 8:00 a.m.
FEES
Marathon - $75 until July. 31st, $85 until Dec. 5th, $100 on Dec. 11th/Expo
Amica Insurance Half Marathon -$50 until July 31st, $55 until Dec. 5th, $70 on Dec. 11th/Expo
5K - $25 until July 31st, $30 until Dec. 5th, $40 on Dec. 11th/Expo
*IMPORTANT* TIME LIMIT
The marathon has a 6-hour time limit and the Amica Insurance Half Marathon has a 3 hour time limit. Runners who cannot maintain a 13:45 per mile pace will be asked to leave the course for their own safety.
Pit Stops will close and volunteers and police officers at intersections will not be available to participants who fall below the 13:45 per mile pace. This will be strictly enforced.
Dasani/ PowerAde Ion/ Gel/ Bathroom Stations
Dasani and PowerAde Ion will be available at the following places along the course: Mile 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22, 23.5, and 25.
Gel will be provided at mile markers 16 and 20.
And perhaps for some, most importantly, portable restrooms will be stationed at the water stations, about every two miles along the course.
Parking and Marathon Directions
The marathon will start on Tryon Street between 5th and 6th Street.
Free parking is available on race day at the 7th Street Station. The County Government parking lot on the corner of Stonewall and McDowell Streets is also free on weekends.
